About the Artist

Ali Stringfellow

Ali is a self-taught painter
based out of Atlanta, Georgia.

He has been painting since 2020,
with acrylic and oil being his primary mediums.

He finds inspiration through
his favorite music, movies, and shows.

Drawing has been a hobby of
Ali’s since he was child. He finally decided to try his hand at painting for fun during the pandemic. His love for art was apparent early on, as he’s always been a fan of the unique art styles of Takashi Okazaki (Afro Samurai), Aaron McGruder (Boondocks), EiichiroOda (One Piece), and Justin Bua.

Ali proudly pays homage to Black
American urban culture in his art. He has drawn and painted many iconic Black musicians such as Jimi Hendrix, Andre 3000 and Big Boi (OutKast), Earl Sweatshirt, Kendrick Lamar, Jay-Z, and Baby Keem. He believes there’s a link between music and art.

Ali has collaborated with musicians on album covers, perfectly blending their art with his own.

Common themes you’ll notice across his pieces are cool colors, deep emotional undertones, and vibrant applications. Most of his pieces exude a sense of calmness. In his more recent pieces, you’ll notice greater attention to details, in respect to composition, backgrounds, and color theory.

Although he is open to creating anything he puts his mind to, people
are primarily the subject of his pieces.
